The Fujian, China's newest aircraft carrier, has achieved a historic milestone. Its advanced electromagnetic catapults successfully launched and recovered three types of aircraft — the J-35 and J-15T naval fighter jets, and the KJ-600 early-warning and control plane.

It marked the world's first launch of a fifth-generation stealth fighter from an electromagnetic catapult at sea.

It broke through another key technological barrier once dominated by the US, showcasing China's growing ability to defend itself and deter attacks.
