China's Wang captures women's singles title at WTT China Smash

BEIJING -- Wang Manyu won 4-2 against Sun Yingsha in an all-Chinese women's singles final at the World Table Tennis (WTT) China Smash on Sunday.
In their ninth straight final duel on the international stage, world No. 1 Sun prevailed 12-10 in the opening game, before Wang restored parity at 11-7 and moved ahead 2-1 in games with an 11-9 victory.
Second-seeded Wang then gained the upper hand, winning the fourth game 11-5 to move within one win of the title. Sun pulled one back with an 11-8 victory in the fifth, but Wang closed out the match with an 11-2 win in the sixth.
