Dec 13 marks the National Memorial Day for Nanjing Massacre victims. During the six-week massacre in 1937 and 1938, Japanese invaders brutally slaughtered about 300,000 Chinese civilians and unarmed soldiers. A ceremony is underway at the Memorial Hall of the Victims in the Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders in Nanjing to remember those killed by Japanese aggressors during World War II. In 2014, China's top legislature officially designated Dec 13 as the National Memorial Day to keep the history firmly in mind and cherish the hard-won peace.?
